I was at the Georgia Tech Library recently, and I was asked about some of the financial aid options that could be available for students. The first answer was, “Georgia Tech has some excellent scholarships, and you can apply with your grades, not your financial aid.” The second answer was, “You can apply with your grades, but you’re not going to get a scholarship based on your grades.
The Georgia Tech website makes it clear that students are encouraged to apply with their grades. But as anyone who has applied for a scholarship will tell you, your grades are not the only factor that you should look into. The two main factors are: (a) are you a good student; (b) are you a hard worker.
Well, no. But you can definitely consider both of these things when considering your chances of receiving a scholarship. A good student will definitely get a scholarship from Georgia Tech. But a less good student will definitely not because of their grades.
The schools themselves are really good about this. First, the Tech school is really strict about accepting only high-quality students. Georgia Tech doesn’t want to “overweight” their scholarship applicants by giving them a huge scholarship. It’s a smart thing to do, and it’s really helpful for students who are trying to do well in the G.I. Bill and then go on to graduate from college.
The G.I. Bill is the only government-sponsored grant that colleges can give to students, and it’s usually reserved for the top 10% of the students. Georgia Tech’s scholarship is for the top 80%. So if you’re in the top 20% of your class, you’ll get a scholarship from Georgia Tech.
When we look at it, it looks even better, since we haven’t actually gotten a scholarship so far. We’re assuming that the end goal is to get a scholarship, and that’s the plan, but you can also imagine that if you just don’t have a lot of money you can get a scholarship to the top student.
If youre not in the top 20 of your class, you might qualify for a scholarship by passing a certain test. The test requires you to do things like solve a puzzle, take a class, and do something to help your school. It’s pretty weird that Georgia Techs scholarship is for the top 80 students, but if youre in the top 20 of your class, youll probably get a scholarship by passing the test. In reality, however, there are no actual scholarships.
We were also told that the test requires you to do things like be good in bed, and to take a certain number of pictures. It turns out that the number of pictures is dependent on how good you are at taking the test. (The more pictures you take, the more chances you have of being accepted for the test.
If you’re a tech student, there are several ways you could get a scholarship. You can do a free test, and you can even go to the university to get a full scholarship. But if you’re a tech student, your chances are that you’ll get a scholarship on a couple of different subjects.
If youre a tech student, and you have good grades, you can get a scholarship in the areas that youre good at. If youre a tech student, and youre bad at taking the test, youll still get a scholarship in the areas youre good at, but you might not get a scholarship in the areas youre bad at.
