I was thinking about this when I was reading the comments on this post. My point was that a 2.4 gpa is quite good in certain situations. A 2.4 gpa is a good starting point for most people, but it’s not the end all be all of your life. I think this is one of the reasons it is so difficult to make good decisions.

Of course a 2.4 gpa is good once you start going down the road. The point is not to use it to get good grades at school or get into the most prestigious law firm in the country. The point is to use it to be able to afford a safe car and a decent home, and to be able to go to college and pay the bills. As it turns out, 2.4 gpa is not that important either.

So, what we are seeing is an interesting phenomenon. This is a case where you can use a 2.4 gpa to get a good job and have the best life for yourself. But, as I said, it’s not the end all be all.

I think that’s a good thing to say. If you use your 2.4 gpa to get a job, then you are not as smart as everyone else around you. If you use it to afford a decent car, then its good for you and good for society too, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
