The job title suggests a professional in the field of sports. We might assume that this means the responsibilities of the job are to be able to handle the day-to-day activities of running a sports operations. However, to be a sports operation manager means you have to be able to handle the day-to-day things of running a sports organization.
Being a sports operation manager is not a simple job, and not all sports organizations are structured the same. For example, if you happen to be a football team that plays in a league with another sport, like baseball, you must have a team manager. In other words, a manager is your direct supervisor, and he or she is the guy in charge of how you operate your own team.
