A lot of us (I know I sure do) live life in a hurry, and it’s not always about finding the perfect time to put our best foot forward. We might be excited to hit the gym, go for a run, or go for a walk, but the reality is that it’s all about the details. I have been guilty of skipping the gym or going for a run when I only have a couple of hours to do it in.
This is really too bad because it is so important to us to stay in shape. The gym is where we can get the most out of our time, while the run is where we can maintain our fitness for the longer term. The first step to doing both of these things is to make sure that you are paying attention to the details.
For example, you need to keep a watch on the details of your daily schedule and that includes the time you eat, and the time you workout. If you are skipping the gym just because you are trying to get in a better shape, you are probably not doing enough. This is especially true if you are not a good runner. If you are a good runner, but are not a good runner anymore, you may need to start again.
The only way to really “get it” about the details of your exercise schedule is to do it. This is because you are the only one who can see what it takes to make you fit into your schedule. There is a huge difference between going to the gym and actually going to the gym. You can see this difference easily if you sit and watch a video on YouTube.
If you are not a good runner, you need to start again. When you get to the fitness center you will be asked your fitness goal. If your goal is to be fit, you will need to use a fitness tracker to get your heart rate at the same time every day. I like to do this by setting my alarm to a specific time every day. This way I know exactly what time my alarm is and how long my workout lasts.

I will also mention that if you want to be really fit, you may want to get an elliptical or treadmill. They work really well for building lean muscle mass. I’m also a big fan of the stair-climber. Not only is it a great way to get moving, it also helps build bone density, which is important for maintaining good posture.
